Infrared Sauna
The sun produces both visible and invisible light, and infrared rays are part of that invisible spectrum. It's these infrared wavelengths that give the sun its warmth (while ultraviolet rays make it bright). Research has shown that infrared waves are incredibly beneficial for the body, as they are easily absorbed and help stimulate the lymphatic, immune, and cardiovascular systems, all while aiding in the removal of toxins. The best part? Infrared therapy delivers these benefits without any of the harmful rays of sunlight.
Unlike traditional saunas that rely on heated air and surfaces to warm the body through conduction and convection, infrared heaters emit radiant heat that’s absorbed directly by the skin. This is why infrared therapy isn't considered a traditional sauna. In an infrared sauna, about 20% of the heat is in the air, while 80% is absorbed into the body at a cellular level, providing deep therapeutic benefits. While the controller may show temperatures between 125–150°F, this reflects air temperature, not the deeper core temperatures reached during a session.
